Sharon Muzaki is an accomplished, award-winning environmental and science journalist focused on public health, climate change, and emerging technologies in Africa, with a strong interest in the intersections of science, climate, and environmental issues. She is passionate about storytelling that brings clarity to complex scientific and environmental challenges and highlights their real-world implications for communities across the continent.
Muzaki is the Founder of the Great Lakes Centre for Climate and Tech, a Ugandan non-governmental organisation working at the intersection of climate, public health, science, data, and emerging technologies. Through the Centre, she advances science communication by building the capacity of journalists and civil society actors, engaging youth and the public through digital media and interactive dialogues, and localising emerging climate and health technologies for regional contexts.
